Eastern Washington Family Child Care Association's (EWFCCA) mission is to promote quality child care throughout Eastern Washington.

EWFCCA is a 501(c)(3), non-profit, membership based organization, established in 1981, consisting of Licensed Family Child Care Providers and other individuals who are interested in quality care for children.

EWFCCA offers affordable and pertinent STARS approved training and workshops throughout the year as well as an annual "Reach For The STARS" Conference the first Saturday of March.

EWFCCA's highly respected newsletter keeps providers informed and connected and is free with each membership.

EWFCCA's Safe P.L.A.C.E. committee received the Washington State Evergreen Award in 1998 for their work in promoting safer child care experiences for all children.

EWFCCA is strongly connected to the local community and other professional organizations and has taken an active roll in local and state issues, representing Family Child Care on many statewide policy making committees and groups. (STARS Stakeholders, The Child Care Coordinating Committee and Subsidy Sub-Committee, Spokane Regional Child Care Initiative, Stand For Children, Early Child Care Collaborative, The Spokane Alliance)

EWFCCA offers resources and assistance to anyone with questions or concerns that relate to the child care field.

Support: EWFCCA represents providers at the legislative level, and actively promotes adequate compensation, quality child care, and community awareness. EWFCCA's position is to assist providers so that they may offer the highest quality of care to the children they serve. EWFCCA can help answer questions regarding the state subsidy system, concerns regarding regulations, as well as operational questions. EWFCCA knows the value and power of providers coming together to support, network with and mentor each other. For additional information, please contact debbie@ewfcca.org

Social Events: EWFCCA sponsors social events throughout the year to bring providers together, to network and break the isolation that often occurs from the long hours spent in our homes. Everyone is welcome to join us for our monthly rousing game of BUNCO or attend the September Welcome Back Dessert, Winter Solstice Party, or June Provider Appreciation Banquet. Please see our calendar of events for dates, times and location of these events or contact debbie@ewfcca.org

Access To Information: EWFCCA does not currently offer insurance benefits but does maintain updated listings of agents and agencies that have competitive prices and packages comparable to what is offered in other regions. debbie@ewfcca.org
